Before saying how it started, let me introduce myself. I’m an engineering graduate hailing from a humble agricultural family, embodies the essence of determination and innovation. Born and raised amidst the fertile coconut fields and rolling landscapes of a small village in the southern part of India, near Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.
Growing up in an agricultural family, I have witnessed the daily toil and dedication needed for cultivating in the farms. After graduating I continued my profession as a Software Engineer, but the farmer in me was waiting to explore and the time has come.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to people around the world and challenging us in ways we could never have imagined. However, it also opened the doors to new opportunities for those who were willing to adapt and innovate. This is the story of how my wife and I transformed adversity into opportunity by founding Keetrilai, your path to healthier living.
The Seed of an Idea
There was a lot of talk about natural farming and organic farming after the pandemic, which we have been following in our farm for ages. We had always been conscious individuals, concerned about the quality of the food we consumed and its impact on our overall well-being. We thaught why can’t we share it with the rest of the world. This led to a question — Could we turn our passion for healthy living into a meaningful business venture?
What to Start With
So, finally we decided to start a venture but what should we start selling initially? Since we had our own Coconut farms, we started to think what products we can make and ended up with Wood Pressed Coconut Oil, Coconut Sugar, Coconut Chips, etc., Later we added few other wood pressed oils as well.
The Launch
After months of hard work, we were ready to launch our startup Keetrilai. As we navigated the initial challenges, we found that perseverance and adaptability were essential qualities for a startup founders. We faced lot of hurdles and increased competition. However, our dedication to our mission and the quality of our products helped us overcome these obstacles.
